friendly boulangerie in our local
village of Masserac for
your fresh bread & croissants for breakfast. The
village
also offers a traditional French cafe bar
with

screen TV for any
important
sporting
events, a small grocery shop and a Health, Beauty
and Well Being centre.
Another 10 minutes away is the lively
town
of Guemene Penfao where you will find a supermarket, indoor swimming
pool,
canoe hire for
paddling along the River Don & pony trekking. Fishing
enthusiasts
can
take
advantage of the private
fishing lake just a couple of minutes
away
from the cottages.

The River Vilaine
Also close to home why not follow the River Vilaine as it meanders
peacefully
through the rural countryside stretching for many miles. Take
a cycle ride or walk
on the accompanying toll path and enjoy a picnic on
the riverside.
EATING OUT
There are many neighbouring villages which have traditional restaurants
offering French
country food for as little as 10 Euros for 4 courses including your
wine! A good selection of
more cosmopolitan restaurants can be found in the the nearby towns of
Guemene Penfao and Redon.
TOWNS & CITIES If you prefer
a more relaxed way of life why not visit the ancient trading town of
Redon where the Nantes-Brest Canal meets the River Vilaine and explore
the
many shops, weekly open air market and indoor / outdoor swimming
pool.

The Chateau at Nantes Other places of interest include the medieval
walled cities of Vannes & Guerande
and not forgetting the regional
capital Nantes, all within easy travelling distance.
